Air Conditioning was once considered a luxury, but it’s slowly becoming a necessity!

Quality Heating & Cooling is ready to install a new air conditioner or give your current one a tune up, just ask!

Loads of things can go wrong with an air conditioner. If the coils are dirty, your unit may not be performing as well as it could. It could be adding strain to the workload. If the condenser fan is broken for any reason it may be unable to expel the heat from the air and the air conditioner could be working much too hard. Perhaps the trees nearby need pruning to avoid leaf blockage in the fan and damage in turn. A thermal expansion valve monitors how much refrigerant¬†is passing through the system at a given time, and if this valve isn’t tuned properly or possibly broken the air conditioner will be either restricting its own performance or flooding the system. Any or all of these things could be impacting your unit and your bill right now without any noticeable signs.

For these reasons and others, it is recommended to have your air conditioner serviced once a year, ideally in the spring to ensure that it is running at peak efficiency and there aren’t any damaged parts that could lead to more expensive repairs in the future, and possibly just the need to replace your unit. Don’t wait until your air conditioner breaks to have it looked at! It may break in the middle of a plus 30 afternoon and you’ll find yourself in an air conditioned pancake house waiting for a technician to become available. That doesn’t sound very nice.
